Early Close: Saturday 8th December

As you should all know by now, Saturday 8th December is our Gym Christmas Party. In order to allow everyone plenty of time to get ready and to make sure we are there to greet you, the gym will be closing early at 4:00pm.

Bench Press Champion

Congratulations to gym member Richard Carpenter who won the 110kgs division in the 2007 NSW Open Bench Press Competition held by Powerlifting Australia at Lake  Macquarie  last weekend.
Richard was the easy winner in his division with a winning lift of 170kgs. A great effort, especially considering it was his first entry in such an event!

New Shoulder Press

After several requests from members, we have brought in a new, much more upright shoulder press. Delivery was yesterday and it already seems popular. Above: Tom,  one of our members puts it to the test (calm down ladies!)

For those that have been away over winter, or who have blinkers on when they come through the gym, this is the reception area showing the new entry through to ZONE.

The benefits of boxing circuit classes

We have 2 of these a week: Tuesday and Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
If you want to mix up your cardio a bit and have some fun doing it, give them a go.
The benefits of boxing classes are:

A great upper body workout.
Improved Fitness.
Better hand-to-eye coordination.
Sharpened reflexes.

Well done Myra!

A big shout out to Myra Gregory who is the Dulwich High School of Visual Arts and Design 17yrs girls Cross Country Champion. Considering Myra’s regular hard work in the gym and dedication to her exercise, this should come as no surprise. none the less, another great effort Myra, well done!

More proud parents

Congratulations to Preggie Bellies mum Michelle Brereton who had twin girls Ruby and Alice last Wednesday. Michelle was a regular member of the classes on Sundays and Thursdays and says she can’t wait to get back into them as a new mum. Watch this space for a photo of the girls…
